My Teaching

I specialize in Vinyasa and Hatha branches of yoga.
I put an emphasis on the personal needs of my students, by starting each class with a check in on how everyone is feeling and needs for practice. My teaching goal is creating an environment where people can show up as they are and receive what they need from a class, with no judgment and a light hearted attitude.

My Story

I was first introduced to yoga in early high school, it was a class I was taking and just enjoyed the relaxation of it at first. After a while I became aware of how my mind and body were feeling with doing continuous amounts of yoga.

For the majority of my life, I have struggled with anxiety and depression, in my last two years of high school I was having multiple paralyzing panic attacks a day. Flash forward some years later, I connected back with a serious yoga practice, I was reminded how much yoga regulated my anxiety and helped me feel motivated in contrast to my depression.

I moved to Bozeman, Montana in 2018 and immediately joined a yoga studio, I felt physically healthy, and mentally regulated but I hadn’t felt like I found my yoga community yet. I did some trial and error at a couple different studios, until a friend brought me to my now current studio – YourYoga. I had an immediate connection with the owner and became going to a yoga class every day. This owner was the person who saw the potential in me to become a yoga teacher, which was something I never considered. I took the leap and moved to Paia, Maui for a month and half and got my yoga teacher certification.

This is where my life changed, and my practice took off. I was inspired to help others feel the benefits of a regular yoga practice, and to find their needs for well-being be met. Yoga and its philosophy have and continues to positively impact my mental, physical and emotional health. I changed my college path and found my purpose – helping others through the journey of yoga. I have developed a professional career with yoga and this holistic practice. Now I want to be able to help others on a larger scale and make yoga more accessible to people from all distances.
